Speakers 2015: James Frost

I am an international Wedding Photographer originally from Cornwall, UK.

I spent my younger years growing up in Spain. Inspired by my Grandad, this is where my passion for photography started.
It wasn’t long before I picked up my own camera and fell in love with telling stories I now live in Australia on the south Coast of NSW.
I have been shooting weddings for four years now and I’ve just been named in the Rangefinder Magazine 30 rising stars of wedding photography. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to combine this with my photography, by doing destination weddings.

“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.”

- Og Mandino
The key to creativity is…

Being myself and not letting others tell me.

Where do you gather most of the inspiration for your work?

Most of my Inspiration comes from looking at like photojournalism and fine art photography. I tend to stay away from anything wedding based, I also like to watch movies as helps a lot with story telling and brings fresh ideas to my work.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given and what is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out?

Work hard have passion and learn from your mistakes.
